What personal data we collect and why we collect it

What information do you store?

We store user input data sent through the contact forms on this website, along with meta information about the submissions, including the time stamp, the origin IP address, and the user agent (browser). Also, third party services may collect information about website visitors. We currently use Google Analytics and Google AdSense on this website.


When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.


If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

We use the Contact Form 7 plugin to manage contact form submissions. The information is sent as email messages that only a select few are allowed to access. The information is also stored in the database on our hosting server for backup and later reference purposes. We use the Flamingo plugin to safely manage this data. WPMUDEV hosts this website.


If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Who we share your data with, how your data is used

We currently use Google Analytics and Google Adwords on this website. Data collected by us may be used for re-targeting ads displayed to you on other websites that show ads from the Google. The purpose of these ads is to advertise our services to past visitors. We also use SendinBlue for our email newsletter, which is an opt-in email newsletter that any subscriber can opt out of at any time. We do not share your data with outside parties. Scripts on this website are in place to measure the performance of these ads and of newsletter sendings. These scripts may track pages visited within this site, time spent on pages visited, form submissions, phone number clicks, and other interactions for the purpose of improving our website and our marketing efforts.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Email addresses of subscribers will be used on SendinBlue, our bulk email sending service. Lohre & Associates, Inc. does not sell or redistribute data, and does not share data with anyone outside of our service providers, for the purpose of doing business with or seeking business from our website visitors.

How we protect your data

Data is stored online in a secure database on a server that is separate from the website. The website is protected by two web application firewalls and one cloud application firewall. The website is also protected by additional outside services that scan for malware and other cyber attacks. We use proven solutions for anti-virus protection and detection of intrusion attempts. Data transmission is encrypted using SSL/https/VPN technology. Information on how SendinBlue protects your data can be found here.

What data breach procedures we have in place

The website does not store, or use login information for any parties other than website administrators. Our data does however include personal information such as names, email addresses, employers, and positions, if that data is supplied to us by the visitor, for the purpose of sending newsletters and qualifying leads. Should that data be compromised, all effected will be notified within 14 days of the breach being detected.

What third parties we receive data from

We, through the website, or through our advertising providers may receive information for the purpose of sending targeted ads to you offsite in order to bring you to, or return you to our website. This information includes IP addresses, may include demographics such as age, industry, employment, browsing history, or search history.

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

Automated decision making may be made for the purpose of qualifying leads, ascertaining lead cycles, and/or lead nurtureing in order to determine the types of ads you see from our advertising campaigns. This information might also be used to shape your experience on this website, such as serving customized banners, announcements, popups, and offers to you on your visit.

Industry regulatory disclosure requirements

This website, all content, marketing efforts, advertising, contact forms, comment forms, and newsletter subscription forms are used for the purpose of maintaining business relationships, or fostering new business relationships  with industrial companies and industrial organizations. We are not in the business of selling data, personal or otherwise and use all information in the course of doing business with our visitors.
